Aveek Sen was a writer, teacher and collaborator whose work brought together literature, the visual arts, music, cinema and everyday life. His most recent publication was Art & Life: 21 Essays (Experimenter Books, 2018). Aveek was given the 2009 Infinity Award for Writing on Photography by the International Center of Photography, New York. He studied English Literature at Jadavpur University, Calcutta, and at the University College, Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar. He was associate editor of The Telegraph, Calcutta and had written with artists such as Roni Horn, Moyra Davey, Dayanita Singh, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, Simryn Gill, Bharti Kher, Subodh Gupta, On Kawara, Fazal Sheikh, Padmini Chettur and Zuleikha Chaudhuri.
